Oh baww... I've fallen in that hole too.
Maybe take a break from canines and try other stuff like felines or birds, or even people. Or google some random photos of dogs and draw the most bizarre angles. It can get the creative juices flowing.

Yes drawing bizarre dog angles, then moving on to other animals once I'm motivated enough sounds good

try using my generator or something. or make some weird-ass bird lizard frog hybrid, or even really some mythical creature like your take on the cockatrice/basilisk

i should use it myself! finishing up the reptile one, but then pretty much there will be a cool assortment. plus i have an idea or another generator that's more abstract.
